Peak of the Season

I was carving turkey today for our Palmer Trinity Golf tournament and I overheard some nice comments about our Garden. Yes, we are in the peak of the season.  Last week I started harvesting our multi-colored carrots and super sweet sun-gold tomatoes.  Right now all of the arugula, radishes, mint, flowers, bok choy, mustard greens, fennel and napa cabbage served in the Club are from our garden. Remember to check the "Garden Fresh" section on the salad bar and our specials menu .

Progress Report

This week in the Garden we are harvesting Radishes, Bok Choy, Mustard, Sorrel, Dill, Flowers, Tomatoes and more. Don't be afraid to try the tomatoes on the salad bar if they look yellow/green. One of the varieties this year is a tomato called " Green Grape" it's an Heirloom variety that is green when mature.  Enjoy these pics of the latest happenings in the Garden.

Progress report

Our First real cold front arrived last night in the form of a freeze warning for all of Florida. Thankfully our garden survived the frigged temp. As a precaution I covered the plants last night with floating row covers, even though frost is rare at Deering Bay given its location next to the Bay. We are just really starting to get fresh produce and yesterday I picked our first tomatoes of the season
